Tribute by a very under rated singer who can still hack it as an old man

Maybe a little off topic, but it reminded me how good this was with Ronnie Lane and Steve Simpson

liking this thread!

never really noticed him before getting into the Faces, loving Ronnie Lanes contributions (Debris is one of THE greatest 70s songs) then listened to The Small Faces (Lane and Marriott) and through onto Humble Pie (Marriott and Frampton).

For anyone interested in the Small Faces i'd really recommend this as the best intro, their decca and immediate releases combined:

Small Faces - Ultimate Collection: Small Faces: Amazon.co.uk: Music

as for Humble Pie, i'd never really heard of them but picked up this on the cheap:

Natural Born Bugie: Humble Pie: Amazon.co.uk: Music

which has some fantastic acoustic songs, particularly the 2nd disc of unreleased gems including covers of ray charles and the yardbirds. his voice can be similar, but i prefer it in a big way, to robert plant.
