FURTHER TO MY THREAD WITH THE SAME TITLE LAST NIGHT, HERE'S THE ATTACHED POLL NOW (didn't know how to set one up before now) . I'll scan through that thread in the meantime and enter the according vote if you requested one to ensure they're included

Right, about bloody someone took this important task by the scruff of the neck and sorted things out. We've only got 48hrs til our game and still no "official chant" for Poyet. If it's not launched on Saturday, it'll never happen (e.g. Withdean). So, I've scanned the thread about songs for Poyet and these are the best of the bunch IMHO. Yes, you might disagree with me, but WE'VE JUST 48HRS (edit: less than 24hrs now) TO ORGANISE THIS PARTY, BABY, & YOU DIDN'T DO IT DID YOU?!

RULES: MODS, can you make this a Poll/Sticky and close it tomorrow @ 4pm please so we can publish the winner (and give people time to spread the word / "learn the words" ) Once the favourite's been chosen by the most votes, regardless of your opinion, the winner is just that. No moaning, no appeals. Just ONE CONCERTED EFFORT BY ALL ON SATURDAY TO GET BEHIND THE WINNING SONG AND SING IT SO IT'S FIRMLY ESTABLISHED. Small pockets of fans singing it will become BIG pockets of fans - so do your bit.

NB: all the following finalists have been selected on a basis that the song must have at least 6 different words (ruling out all those efforts that were practically instrumentals and frankly, rubbish) so the winning song is more "Blue Moon" than "Albion Albion Albion". Plus it must be chantable

Have fun, and don't go entering any other dittys on this thread - the selection stage is OVER and you missed it on the other threads. The only thing that might possibly be allowed is better wording suggestions, subject to the writer's consent of course.

Let's get this started ladies & gentlemen.......here are the finalists. Which one will you vote for? And let's get Brighton singing on saturday. Good luck everybody, my part is now over. Yours has just started.....

Not quite got the knack of this poll thing have we?

So what we're saying here is that whatever song a couple of hundred men on the internet say should be Poyet's song should automatically be learned by another 6000 odd albion fans who have no say in the matter.....not sure this has been thought through...........

I'd go for Number 1 :jester:

Not my fault you have to post the thread before you get the chance to add the Poll; and you boys were like greyhounds to criticise during the time-lapse between the 2!

Now start voting, you blaggards, and stop moaning........ :clap2:

Yes. That's it. In case you've never been to a football game, what happens is people start singing a song. And others pick it up. Over time, it spreads. Unless I'm very much mistaken, that's how it's done. Either that or we've got some sort of underground Albion choir movement that meets secretly to start all our songs?

3 will not work.

1 + 4 have a great chance of working.
Not unless you vote they won't. Now get on with it.

PS All - winner is the one with the most votes @ 6pm today (couldn't enter a time, just a date) (any MODs who can tidy that up, please be my guest)

Now, lunchtime's over for me. Will check back in @ 6pm to see who's won.

Gus poyet is magic
he wears a magic hat
and when he saw the Brighton job he said I'm having that
he got us playing football
with steel and lots of flair
the aim is to the championship
and Gus will take us there
