Mate on behalf of all decent Palace fans (there are some of us about), apologies to you and your pals, there is no excuse for that.

Cheers SJ's Love Monkey.

After the aformentioned caveman had told us 'it was going to go off' we actually started having a conversation about football, talking about our respective games ending as 1-1 draws.

He then suddenly remembers that 'I f***ing hate Brighton ****s' and just walks off to re-join his fellow meatheads.

They spent the rest of the journey staring over and singing anti-Albion songs and took it in turn to walk past us calling us '****s' and using other intemidatery tactics.

Oh well, it didn't ruin the day but could have.

My best mate is a scummer! Most of your lot are as good natured as every other team! It's just a few that let the majority down, which is the same with nearly all football clubs, not just Palace.

Were you the chaps that joined us in the carriage towards the back of the train?

Totally agree Biskuit but there seems to be more and more of these idiots at Palace games these past 2 or 3 seasons, and this isn't an isolated incident i am afraid to say.

I think we were the last off the train and when we were walking down the platform it was odd, police holding people on one side and directing us out of another exit as they were holding another group of lads by the platform ticket barrier.

Just walked through and went for a beer or 2.

We walked down the platform as their lot were strolling with intent up the other side. Then about 20 Met arrived.

Well done for not reacting mate. Can't believe this still goes on, and meatheads like that (not especially palace btw) still exist.
Every club has their element mate, even ours. It's foolhardy to think it's gone away, 'cos it hasn't. Whenever you travel away by public transport you run the risk of getting caught up in a bit of Ag, it's a risk you take.Nowhere near as bad as it used to be though.

The odd thing about it all was that nowadays it's usually firm versus firm. This Palace crew must have been thrown out at Burnley at half time. The fact that they got their mates up from Croydon was weird as it was a case of ordinary Brighton fans returning from a game quietly. We checked whether there were any of our "hard men" on the train and there weren't.

This thread is not anti-Palace as most of their fans are decent football supporters. The whole thing was strange.
