What was the pre-season friendly we had abandoned ?

I believe it may have been in Ireland and involved Charlie Oatway :lolol:

Gus Poyet had the potential to go down the same route as Mourinho has as a manager on the sidelines.

Longford Town - https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/6776187.albion-abandon-ireland-tour/

I was on my stag do in Amsterdam that weekend, whilst my bride-to-be was on her hen do in Dublin. The girls had a limo booked to take them to the next game, against Athlone, but that game didn't go ahead as Adams cancelled it after the "Battle of Longford".

Against Longford, 20th anniversary of that game has just passed.

Funnily enough we had another pre-season game abandoned when Gus was manager.

There seems to be a common denominator in both of those games in our Charlie.

Lol, Gus:

The togetherness was the best part.

It is difficult to draw positives when the match almost ended with a fight but everyone reacted very well together.

I don’t really like friendlys, but I would loved to have seen this one.
