A personal message to our chairman.. Mr Bloom

A few months ago I donated a Sussex County Cricket Club Shirt to the shop in Hove, with all the Sussex players signatures dedicated to my son, that shirt was from the day we beat the county of Leicestershire to win the Championship for the first time in our history. Beer stains et al !

The stand out was Murray Goodwin 335x on the shirt, despite repeated requests and phone calls, I'm told it would "still" be used for an event of some kind. Boxing events and the like......Still nothing, no reply or response

I know who has it, may be a small equation now we are a big club but it is sentimental to myself and my son and we donated that shirt as a support of "OUR" club to hopefully help our clubs charities.

That shirt is there and if our club have not used it yet for charitable purposes that they could not afford the time to call me about I would like to donate it to a worthy cause like THE ROCKING HORSE APPEAL people out there know who I am. Tony get your hands on this !

Surely if you gave a shirt to a charity shop, it is up to the shop what they do with it. If I gave a shirt to said shop, I would not expect a phone call every hour to explain whether they have sold it or not?

My reading of this is that he donated the shirt to be given, sold or whatever for the charity of the clubs choice and he is rather perturbed that nothing has happened to it. Which I can understand, whether or not I agree with him suggesting it is TB fault is a different matter.

Very good point. Jimbo if it IS a personal message to Tony Bloom why don't you email or write to him direct as opposed to posting an open message on a forum that I'm not sure he reads? Plus I'm not sure it's anything to do with him but that's another issue. Jobs like dealing with charity donation items usually get delegated rather than being handled by the Chairman.

Just a friendly suggestion and bit of advice, don't take it the wrong way.
