Been to see Deal many times and sadly part of there ground burnt down last night

I grew up in Deal and saw many games there during the early eighties. Saw Danny Wallace who played for Deal before he joined Saints.

I have also played there, sad day.

Yep l used to be a regular viisiitor too, during my days liviing in Sandwich. I've only got one word for the people who started the fire ... providing it WAS started deliberately of course.

Mr Mondays senior used to go and watch them when he was stationed in Deal when he was in the boys brigade or something. He says that when they played Hastings once the whole town (of Deal) was gridlocked with people wanting to see Bobby Smith play for Hastings and the ground was packed. Unfortunately bobby was too 'relaxed' to make it out of the dressing room and didnt play.

Just got to deal and.cab driver took us to ground. Not allowed near it police are there. Is suspected arson.
