Alan,

An unforgettable evening that I'm still reeling from (in a strictly non - Scottish sense).

Thanks so much to you and everyone who made it an event that must go down in football history - a new benchmark in fan-chairman relations..........I read John's poem to a friend of mine in New York only today and it still brought a tear to my eye (especially when accompanied by much Yankee wailing down the phone).

No one else in sport gets so close to the raw emotions as the Albion story - my US friend said that and he knows a thing or two about sporting endeavour.

Meanwhile, my oil painting has pride of place in our flat - well on the only wall that's big enough - and Kerry really likes it because she says that although I'm no oil painting, it certainly is.

The Viva big card with signatures is a design worth starting a revolution for....I was wondering Alan if you could produce a few more, say 50, of the postcard size because several people have asked me to sign one
for them, plus it would be nice to have a few spares. I'm very happy to pay for them, so let me know if you can.

A great effort all round from Mr Alan Wares and all the fans who attended and conributed. . Dick is a lovley bloke and more importantly the greatest ever BHAFC chiarman. I hope he will continue to attend the REMF games which I am sure he will as he has supported the fund since it started.

Dick deserves every accolade. Everyday I drive past Falmer to work and look at the rapid work being done I remember if it were not for Dick and his vision and presistance this would never have happened.

Truely the numer 1 BHAFC legend in my book.
