There seems to be something different this time round with Micky Adams. My main thought yesterday as I waited for the final few minutes to count down was that there was no passion.
No passion from the players, none from the home fans, there wasn't likely to be much from the busload of away fans and I didn't think there was much from MA in the post match interview.
First time round it was so different. With players like Cullip, Oatway and Hart obviously all fired up you always felt a punch up was just around the corner. I seem to remember loads of sendings off, usually to our advantage. MA used to say and do things that were heart driven, sometimes without giving them too much thought.
I thought of the day up at Southend when he took FDM off at half time because he hadn't perfomed the way he wanted. THere was a few yesterday that should have come off at half time.
It's been like this for a few seasons now, and maybe this is why attendances are falling. The first couple of home games were well attented because of the 'Micky Factor' but it looks like the honeymoon is over.
