Footpath at the top of Hangleton Way leading past the end of the West Blatchington School playing fields. Go through the gate and turn left into the field along the fence, then right across the top of the downs parallel to the old Dyke Railway route (I think there's a bridge there now over the by-pass). Looking left over the valley you can see the West Hove GC and Foredown Tower; about a mile in front of you is Badger's Wood (as us Chichester Close boys knew it), it backs on to one of the greens at B&H GC.

That's the clump of trees that had the Dew pond in it. Didn't know it had a name.My Mum lived in Chichester Close in the 70/80's. Poynings drive in my yoof.
