They got it right, results were bad, but perhaps more importantly things seemed to be getting steadily worse. If we had to make a change better to give the new man at least a chance to keep us up.

They are to be applauded for sacking him, it can't be a cheap move, but if they don't remove White and Booker as well I will be disappointed. You stand and fall as a team and as a team they have been f***ing clueless and provided some of the worst football since Gillingham and let's not forget they had a decent budget and squad but failed miserably on all fronts.

A right decision , waiting now for the dynamic duo to be given the heave-ho.

He should have gone last moth but what worries me is that following today's result and then another win I have a feeling we might not be getting a new manager at all.

Probably right, but a pity for all concerned.

Still, I look forward to the NSC binfest in about 9 months time saying that Micky should never have been fired, Dick should go, why won't anyone tell us the truth, etc. etc.

Good luck Micky, sorry it didn't work out.

The timing is abit weird, to have a meeting on a Friday then announce it Saturday morning, DK has f***ed himself over with the whole Wilkins affair and to still have those goons is annoying but I hope the new manager will kick them out soon enough.

Why does it matter when they announce it?

I think Adams would have got it right in the long run, but it could have resulted in us going down this year and we can't afford that.

But saying that we still might so TIME WILL TELL.

They were simply correcting the f*ck up they made last summer.

About right, although to do that they would need to bring Wilkins back, which I guess ain't going to happen.

A top quality appointment is needed now though. Ince would fit the bill for me.

No.

Mistake to let Wilkins go in the first place, but that's history.

Should have given MA more time. Only 2 games with all his Jan signings playing and then there's the actual timing of the announcement that he's gone :thud:

All makes the board look very silly indeed IMHO.

Bit gutted really. I actually really like Adams, but he just made cock-up after cock-up which just made his departure inevitable.

As far as I'm concerned; we're on our way down.

A) No good/sane manager is going to want to join a sinking ship
B) Even if they did, it's too late to figure out what's going wrong and fix it. Any time spent experimenting is wasted when we're losing games, digging a deeper hole.

Adams was good enough to keep us up, I have no doubts about that. Yes it's disgraceful we're even down here, so we should've sacked him at the end of the season. Now is a disastrous time to change manager, especially in the position that we are in.

Good post.

Who's going to come in and turn it around now in such a short space of time ? Yes MA made some woeful decisions regarding players playing out position etc., but I believed once his Jan signings had settled in we would soon be heading in the right direction. Now I ain't got a clue where we go from here.

I would agree with that. Feel sorry for Adams as January was first time that he actually had money to spend and get players, and the new signings all look good. I thiunk over the coming games they will prove to be good choices and it seems harsh that he has gone.

That said a lot now depends on who we get as manager. Ince would be great. Someone like Holloway would for me be just the same as Adams, so whats the point.
