Hi Everyone, just back from two weeks in Turkey (no more silly jokes please).

Followed the Oldham game on Sky Soccer Saturday, great result and let's hope no false dawn.

Anything else exciting happened whilst I was away ?

Did you enjoy any beach huts in Turkey?

Two weeks on the beach without the hut was just as nice

It was a serious question. I've never been to Turkey. People might live in them. It could have been a Dave Gorman-esque project. Visiting beach huts. I don't know.

You don't want to go there either!

I've been twice - in 1987 it was good - unspoilt.

By 1995 it was ruined & spoilt.

The Turks were swarming round my girlie like flies round a turd.

Disagree with you there.

Great place to go but you get a lot of hasle and just need to ignore it and do what you want to do.

Also must be one of the cheapest short haul holiday destinations since the Euro started.

Turkey is one of the few European countries (well part of it is in Europe)I haven't been to.

Did you get the trots?

I know a few people who have been to Turkey, who have suffered with upset stomachs! Something that was guaranteed in most med resorts 20 odd years ago!

Yes once but as I drank a minimum of 8 bottles of Effes lager a night I am sure it was self inflicted !

:lolol:

I'll have to try Turkey one year. It's very cheap you say?

I must admit that since the Euro has been introduced in Spain and Greece, I have found that prices have gone through the roof!
