Yes, he did it once and thankfully recently enough for even goldfish to remember it - for the 50th sodding time, he's not perfect but he is better than Henderson, who does it 2-3x a game and has cost us goals galore as a result.

But for a Spurs fan he seems to go to a hell of a lot of Albion games from his information in posts.

Indeed I do, Prob more than soe on here that have a go that I support Spurs as well - what does that say about their support?

No one I can recall, certainly not Henderson if thats what your getting at. Then, I've only been a goalkeeper for 16 years - what do I know.

Sorry for pointing out a few reasons why players migh not want to come, shall we all just blame Mcghee then?

To be honest, fans at all clubs get on their players backs from time to time. We are not the worst at this, but it does happen at the Albion.

Henderson has not received the abuse some players in the past got, he has had a bit of stick after the odd poor game, but at the same time he has had the praise (Rotherham away).

As I have said he is a good prospect, areas of his game are raw, but with good coaching can be sorted. However in pre-season Kuipers was generally looking the better keeper and was a tad unlucky not to start the season. However he knuckled down, got his chance and took it.

Also all these people saying it will be a crime if we lose him, will it be, if Martin is as good as some people in the game think and Sullivan has already been recognised by his country and these lads are only a couple of years younger than Henderson.

but the fans werent doing it simply because they prefered tony warner to be between the sticks, which is certainly the case here

I think one of the few things that both Kuipers fans and Henderson fans can agree on is that we DON'T want Tony Warner in goal...

Bournemouth does as well in the first half. It was just fortunate for him that the Bournemouth strikers were not so astute or we would have been in trouble.

Don't forget that Kuipers did exactly the same last season when Henderson was signed.

And the lesson for Hendo was pretty clear, wasn't it? Moan like f***, row with your young team-mates, be as disloyal as you like - and the fans love you, chant your name and you get your 1st team place back :nono:

Henderson hasn't made any public statements, other than letting it be known - via his agent, not the club - that he wants a transfer. He certainly hasn't said anything about the reasons.

He has spoken off the record to the Argus. Oh sorry, I meant "friends" of his have spoken to the Argus :)

Of course. But simply being better than the other keeper at the club also helps.

obnoxious little turd is apparently not even a Brighton fan

Totally out of order, in supporting Henderson he has actually shown some principle, the easy thing for someone critical of McGhee would have been to jump on the Kuipers bandwagon, a fair bit of which was fuelled by dislike of McGhee.

From this lengthy debate I think we can draw the following conclusions:

(1) that we have two occasionally brilliant, but frequently erratic keepers at the club

(2) that they are both equally capable of throwing a strop and acting like a six year old when they're (justifiably) not in the team

(3) that the only difference really is that Henderson wasn't present during the promotion years, and thus never earned the everlasting devotion of many fans on here.

Shit, I just thought- who are we going to blame for Henderson's hissy fit? I was led to believe by people on here that out of every manager in football, only Mark McGhee had arguments with players.

IT'S YOUR FAULT, MCGHEE! YOU DID THIS!

I don't really get how both keepers throw hissy fits for roughly the same reason (not being in the team) yet people seem to think either Hendo or Kuipers is right.

Neither is right. Hendo has has some stick from fans which I agree is f***ing shit, but prove them wrong.

Kuipers was dropped for no reason by a manager who didn't fancy him, but prove him wrong.

Sure its not as black and white as that but they are the main points so how people can hold such polar opposite views on the way each keeper has reacted I will never know.

Except you left out the crucial reason why he is No1 - the knight of the long knives.

He is currently number one because he played well at Bristol City and Wilkins felt he deserved to keep the shirt.

Comparing Dick Knight to Hitler. Excellent. :D

Imagine you are a player who Brighton are after at the moment.

In the summer the players contracts took almost 2 months to sort out.

Players have left after failing out with the manager/coach/chairman

Henderson has publicly said the fans are one of the reasons for wating to leave

Brighton fans jeer there own players they dont like.

Why would you want to sign for a club like that?

He's got a point. I was ball mascot at the Brentford game and when Hendo came up to hospitality, someone shouted "BOO....KUIPERS!!!"
