I would say it really needs to be somewhere central. The Albert certainly fits this bill and the fact they have an upstairs room that could be made 'private' would help big time.

I would also say it would need to be on a Saturday night after a home game. As there are no Saturday home games in December - why not make it November 29th, after Wrexham?

Good point - in December there will be a lot of work parties and the like. November 29th may mean more people can make it and won't have prior engagements.

CTS: The Railway is a f***ing dump. You get glassed just for walking in there. Pikey Central. IT'S A SHITHOLE. To be put up there with the pub on Fiveways (the Stanmer?) and the Hiker's Rest for pure aggro.

Yeah, the Open House is very slightly poncy, but (1) it is en route from Brighton - Falmer (the Railway is on the other side of the bridge). (2) It has an decent beer garden and decent upstairs room. It will bean Albon pub when we get Falmer. No question. Far too many of us live nearby for it not to be.

And some quality totty. Although not in the same league as Trotser.

True about the Open House is spose.

The railway is funny, yes it is a dump but the on one of the few times i've been in my mate who is very scary when drunk started acting up and the landlord went a bit mental but the regulars helped us out and it was cool after that, not a choice establishment, maybe tahts where the lovely hoolies can drink?

Sounds like a top night on Saturday and if I wasn't bashing drums in Worthing I'd have been there-definitely up for the next one. Like the idea of another get together a while before Christmas. There's so much else going on at that time that it might be hard to get the numbers. Nov 29th sounds good to me. :clap2:

How about the King & Queen on the Old Steine. They've got a big function room upstairs? ???

It now has two pool tables in it. Not so much room

Whatever date it is I'm bound to have some poncy family do to go to again like the last two!!! :(

Sounds like everyone had a good time on Saturday and I wish I had been there rather than a bloody wedding in Bath for my other half's cousin. The world oldest jazz band playing shite in a bloody hall in South Stoke...hundreds of kids running around excitedly breaking stuff...hang on that sounds not much different from the Nelson :lolol:

Gratuitous bounce.

Need to get something sorted.

And I need to make sure I can get along for it.

Possible dates: 6, 13, 20, 27 of December.

Tranmere away on the 20th.

So 6th, 13th or 27th?

6th to early. 27th to late. 13th IMHO.
