The Essex official takes charge of tomorrow night's FA Cup replay against Wycombe Wanderers at Withdean.

Poyet was sent-off by D'Urso for a tackle on Gary Flitcroft while playing for Spurs against Blackburn in May 2003.

Remarks made by Poyet about D'Urso after a Carling Cup defeat at Portsmouth in August 2007, when he was Dennis Wise's assistant at Leeds, landed the Uruguayan in trouble with the FA.

Strange that Poyet thought that D'Urso was on a vendetta against Leeds. I seem to remember he gave them the most unbelievable penalty against us a few years back. Nobody, not even Leeds fans, appealed and he just gave it. We still won 2-1 though - Hart in the last few mins.
