A Bristol City fan hopes to cycle to all of his team's games in the new season to raise money for the Breast Cancer Campaign.

Jer Boon says he faces well over 7000 miles on the bike as he goes about raising money for the campaign.

His first real test comes later this month when he faces a round-trip to Chesterfield for City's first away game in Division Two. He'll leave Bristol on August 14 for the game on the 16th.

In January he faces successive trips of about 400 and 560 miles to Grimsby and Hartlepool respectively.

Jer decided to raise money for the campaign after his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001 and he's even launched his own website so people can donate.

He has planned the trip for nearly two years and has quit his job in order to fulfil this formidable adventure. His girlfriend Katherine says: "it was either this, or letting him build his own roller coaster in the back garden!"

Lucky he doesn't come from Plymouth!

Good luck to him. I hope he does well and raises loads of cash. A great effort.

Grimsby and Hartlepool - that will be a killer.
Good luck to the man - wish I could quit my job and cycle round the country watching football! - good cause though best of luck.

Yeah, more like he will circle to his porche just parked around the corner,
