Just seen a very interesting article from 1911 which predicts life 100 years later!!

What do people think life will be like in 100 years time? I would like to think that there will be a teleport system of some kind!

Space will prove not to have been the final frontier.

Portsmouth FC will still exist and will be paying off debts at 2p in the £.

Michael Owen will sign for the Albion.

The USA will be measurably further away from Europe.

Bruce Willis will star in Die Hard 101.

The West Pier Preservation Society will appeal for donations.

The beer and pies will not run out at the Amex ( now under its 19th new sponsorship name : The North Stand Chat Stadium.)

Global Warming will have caused the paddling pool to be 7 feet underwater and therefore somewhat dangerous for toddlers.

England will not have won the World Cup or the Euros.

Greece will still be burdened with debt,but there will be less of Greece to worry about as it continues its slide under the sea.Coupled with rising sea levels (Sea above !) there will just be enough left for the guards with the funny uniforms to march about on.

People will look at some of our predictions in 100 years and think "Yeah,they were bang on."

Deaths in hospitals will be measurable in the dozens per year in the UK, all vital organs will be able to be grown 'to fit'.
Blood donations will not be required, all blood will be able to be made synthetically.
Colonies on the Moon and Mars and probes nearly arrived on their journey to Alpha Centauri.
No major global wars.
English and Chinese will be the two dominant languages.
Most physical disabilities such as paralysis, blindness and deafness will be able to be cured.
Artificially grown food (including meat).
General 'good health' drugs.
Chauffeurs and pilots will be obselete.
Religion will be limited to small, obscure cults due to large amounts of scientific proof disproving core beliefs.
Localised weather engineering.

And many things we haven't even dreamt of!

Men will all be impotent, so reproduction will only occur through insemination at the sperm bank.
Everyone will be microchipped, and have implanted devices that warn of any physical malfunction.
There will not be countries, just a world.
Religion will be unfashionable.
Transport will be fuelled only by gas, though gyroscopic forces and gravitation will be providing most of the propulsion via retained / harnessed and redirected inertia.
Space travel will have discovered this, and how a perfect vibratory arc will enable propulsion with very little force and minimal effort of guidance.
Time travel will not ever be possible, but another dimension will be entered. Unfortunately anyone crossing over will be unable to find the return path.
Music will be heavily influenced by a breath-instrument - simple to play, but still composition and timing will be the key to what will be regarded as musicianship.
Work will only be done for 8 years by everyone, no more than that. You can choose your time to do it in, but only within an allocated period.

What's amazing is what's been buried back in the 20th Century - in 2.5 decades time it will be 100 years since the beginning of WWII, and although it will still be taught in schools, kids will probably regard it as some ancient conflict akin to the Boer War.
