Ouch. That's a hefty 100% increase but you now get half a bottle of wine and a drink on arrival and an improvement in the food....I presume.

You forgot the champagne on arrival, and the 'free gift'

Also, Don't forget the £19 buffet meal that has also been introduced.

Only 40 covers for the 90 odd quid option, then the remainder given over to the buffet for 19 smackers, still had better be pretty good for that much

Taken out of context:

We hope you're enjoying the summer and we're looking forward to welcoming you back to the Amex for another exciting season. I'm sure you will agree there were some fantastic moments during the 2012/13 season.

The players have enjoyed a well-deserved break, and under the guidance of head coach, Oscar Garcia, they are currently preparing for another Championship campaign. Albion welcome their first European opponents, Villarreal, to the Amex on Saturday 27th July, kick-off 7.30, followed by a visit from Premier League Norwich City on Tuesday 30th July, kick-off 7.45pm

There is also the option for Gold members to purchase a more formal dining experience within the Overline or Bupa Lounge.

Hot Buffet Option

Gold lounges will feature a buffet meal option which will require no pre-booking. This will be a similar offering to what was offered during the final match of last season.

Price: From £14 per person, this option can be purchase and paid for on the day.

We will be continuing to offer pies, hotdogs, crisps and chocolate within your lounge.

I'm pretty tempted to report the club to the ASA for that as well, since when has giving the lower price then mentioning that VAT will be on top of that without giving the final price been allowed?

In nearly all transactions between businesses, something which one would imagine the majority of clients of this offer would be?

Who chooses the wine? At £95 they'll need a sommelier at the tables  That is a serious price hike almost Michelin star restaurant fixed price menu rates. It needs to be VERY good food.

In the Championship? I really doublt it but happy to be proved wrong.

There is plenty of money about down here, so if it really is top notch, they'll fill it.

Emirates cheapest is £250 plus Vat, for a buffet, albeit includes wine and beer for the duration.
