i looked at all the bbc match stats for the season a few weeks ago, and overall in our games we average less fouls and less yellows than our opponents. If i can remember correctly we averaged about 2 yellows a game, our opponents 2.5. cant remember the fouls. And i think our cards to foul ratio was higher than our opponents, suggesting we were more cynical. Its bizarre how we are so far ahead of other teams in terms of yellow cards and yet in the vast majority of our games, it is the opponents who get booked more!

sigh....in the world and history of football, uraguay and argentina have been at the forefront of unprofessional yellow and red cards.....for evidence, watch some world cups.

that maybe so, but it doesn;t mean that Gus and Taricco are like that (may have spelt Taricco's name wrong)

check the national fair play league table and see were we are......re-watch some of sparrow's, barnes', and greer's antics.

we are not a big tackling dirty team, but very petulant.

I just had a quick count up:

On 13 occasions we were booked more than the opposition

On 25 occasions the opposition were booked more than us

On 8 occasions we were booked an equal amount

There are a couple of ones we could put either way depending on how to count a red.

So in conclusion we are clearly not a dirty team.

There were more yellow cards given out in the earlier part of the season for dissent rather than blatant or cynical fouls.
