9,000,000 Sickies If England Beat Portugal!

Sporting Index have opened up books on how many
England fans will pretend to be sick to get a day off
after the crucial match with Portugal.

They have set a spread based on a prediction that more
than nine million people will be taking an unofficial
day off this Friday, June 25.

They came up with the figure after commissioning
Football Fans Census to consult 25,000 fans on their
post match intentions.

Sporting Index, which specialises in spread betting,
is predicting that between 8.8 million and 9.2 million
will take the day off sick.

Punters will win if they bet that either a greater or
smaller number will fail to turn in after spending the
night celebrating or drowing their sorrows.

I warned my office I was going to fly back out to Portugal if we win tonite,got a phone call this morning saying its to shorter notice to give as they require 2 weeks at least,so I told them I must have had a few dodgy sardines when I was there on Monday and I can feel them starting to repeat on me from Tuesday onwards!!
