I was so jealous of Ronnie Corbett back then. That bloke had every shade of Lyle and Scott pastel jumpers when doing his monlogues in the Two Ronnies

Does anyone remember LEO GEMELLI jumpers it was the poor teenagers version of the Pringle jumper, there were a group of younger casuals at our school that all wore them and were called THE GEMELLONS,
I'm glad I saved up enough cash as a 14 year old to afford a real Pringle ( I think I wore it for 6 months everyday & night)
It really was an expensive fashion and being at school my parents couldn't justify spending £45 on a jumper in 1984, they used to say get a Leo GEMELLI jumper they're only £20

I had three Pringle diamond sweaters, they were total requirements for the casual age back then including the not so frequent half-diamond one in maroon.

I had that one as well , Lois jeans, frayed at the bottom , slit up the side and sewn in creases , kickers , filas , gabicis, Apollo boots , farahs , those were the days.

Light weight, I had 3........

So let's move on, had the Borg Fila top twice - Red and Blue. Flogged the red one after a month as you always stood out at footie with that one - think they were around £70 then but cannot remember.

The diamond jumper the lad on the right is wearing looks like the Marks & Spencer version and not a Pringle.
The plain round neck lambswool jumpers were popular with some lads and cheaper than Pringle and Lyle & Scott.
