Had a £750 bet that Brighton would make the Play-Offs just now, at a price of 5/2.

I was looking for a team with a realistic aims of automatic promotion that had the following:

* A good unproven manager
* A solid goal-keeper
* A solid defence
* A stable board that are willing to invest if needed
* A 20-25 goals striker

And I thought you ticked the boxes.

Two questions...

1. Any suggestion you will sign a striker either on-loan or in the January window?
2. How are you looking this year in general?

we had a shocker at the weekend, as all teams do, people on here will tell you its the end of the world as we know it......and who knows, we get linked with players, then FFP takes over, if Ulloa stays fit and CMS hits form we will be ok

You've already made the bet and are NOW asking these questions?
Gosh you're brave/insane.

I think we'll finish top 6, but wouldn't have taken those odds personally.

I think 5/2 is actually quite generous. Four points in the next two games will see us in touch of the top 6 with Bridcutt, Orlandi, CMS still to return.

I think you might do something with that bet. We definitely have potential to at
least match what we did last year -

I'm assuming that those odds were pre-season, rather than in the last few days.

The bets a loser if we're 1st or 2nd, to clarify to you/all!?

Thing that worries me is of the top seven that have pulled away slightly I only see Blackpool and Burnley potentially dropping out.

It`s the same at the bottom, of the five teams struggling you could only see possibly Bolton coming out of it.

this time last season the scum were in the bottom four, still if it's all over (with 38 matches left) it'll save me going tonight

You've left off Hoskins who could be back in March.
