6th June 2006 - Doomsday?

Next Tuesday's date is 6/6/6.

We remember the furore about the Millennium Bug and how the world's computers were going to crash on 1st January 2000, but nothing happened.

On the other side of the coin, Al-Qaida chose the numerically significant date of 9-11 for the Twin Towers atrocity.

6/6/6 is synonymous with Armageddon. So do you think anything out of the ordinary will happen?

Any Islamic fundamentalist would know that next Tuesday is 9/5/1427.

I can't see anything special about those numbers, other than the fact that 9+5=1+4+2+7.

Today's date is 2/6/2006 and 2+6=2+0+0+6.

Spooky? I think not.

LB, there wasn't anything directly significant to Muslims about 911 either!

Surely if you are a terrorist it doesn't matter what the significance to you is of the date? It's the significance of the date to your intended victim that would spread fear.

It's not Al-Qaida who are "spreading fear" about next Tuesday. It's you, Pavilionaire.

All that 666 stuff is just nonsense.

When it comes to the Brighton squad, then surely 14 is the Number of the Beast?

It was, and the beast will be sorely missed next season.

Nope, as usual I will be apologising to my wife for not getting her a birthday present.

(not because I apologise everyday by the way, it will be her birthday! Had better get down the shops...any ideas?)

How is asking a question "spreading fear"? Are you not comfortable with discussing the world we live in, which includes terrorism? Should we all bury our heads in the sand?

What like 9-11 was 11/09/01?

Ok, everybody's cool so that's good. Personally, I can see some sort of 7/7 or 21/7 incident happening by some muppet who wants to make a name for himself, and I'm glad I no longer work in Central London because it would be on my mind that day.

I do not work in London but have to go there next Tuesday and Wednesday for an exam.
