The Olympic Games came to the Goldstone Ground. Luxembourg beat Afghanistan 6-0 in a Preliminary Round match in the 1948 London Olympics. The gate was around 7,000.

It would have been nice to see some games at the Amex but then we'd probably have missed out on the expansion work.

Sadly I am not dutch, her friend was in the discus no less but did not win a medal
They using the Ricoh Arena though, its being called City of Coventry Stadium during the Olympics becasue of sponsorship reasons.

When I was flicking through the channals you could still see Ricoh spelt out is the seats.
Looking at all the empty seats, I thought Coventry were playing!
