Crap Town
Newcastle actually looked better when down to 10 men.

To be fair, they only finished 5th in the premier league last year. It's not like we beat Manchester United or City, get real people. We should be beating noddy teams like Newcastle week in week out :jester:

That was a Championship side at best. That was pretty much their reserve squad and would get relegated if they played that team every week in the Prem. We still had to work to win and did a very good job of it.

To be fair, that was a very weak team they put out.

Oh come on! Half that team play regularly for Newcastle and the other half makes sub appearances a lot.

We just completed outplayed them. It wasn't as weak as you think.. We were just very good today!

Hate it when smaller teams beat bigger teams and people say 'yea but they were weak'.

even though it was their reserve team it was our organisation and passing that impressed me. we play like that each week and the wins will come rolling in...

Lost a lot of games on the road now Newcastle and were very lacklustre to say the least

I didn't say it wasn't a good result, it's just a typical NSC reaction, going overboard to beating the second string of a side that THIS season, is very nearly in a relegation scrap. I doubt they'd have been too fussed about this competition, which the team selection showed. Should we lose to Derby next week, everyone will be screaming for Poyet's head on a stick again.

Palace went mad when they beat man Utds 3rd team!! I think we're allowed to be a bit happy after beating a team who play infront of 52,000 fans every week. Half these players were regular first teamers this season! Newcastle are a massive club and we did them. Again! I'm buzzing. Don't care what any killjoy has to say today. We did it infront of the nation too! Seagullss!

Live for now! Not was hasn't happened yet!

P.s. not too fussed about the competition? Pardew put out his strongest side possible. He even said that the FA cup was most important behind the premier league. Ahead of the Europa and league cup. Pardew will be f***ing fuming!

OK so they had a few players out but so did we.

At least 4 1st team players were out plus Calde, pretty much even stevens in terms of players that were out. It just seems that we have better back up players than they do.

A team without Vicente, Bruno, Buckley & Kuszczak is a team well below the strongest we could put out so well done to the players that played today.

That's a really cool story bro. I'm weeping here. You should sell the rights to Spielberg.

Shit - you must be a real hoot at a party !!!!!

I am actually, at my last works do, I got my cock out, did a willy windmill at the dinner table, snogged my 70 year old (male) managing director, then stripped off completely and dived into the snow naked. And this was a funeral wake.

This. Why denigrate the team after a win, by saying the opposition was weak?
