If (or should I say) when The Tank plays against Stoke on Sunday, I believe it will be his 600th League appearance.

Congratulations to the big man on a terrific achievement if that is the case. Let's hope the club make a presentation to recognise the achievement.

Sadly not. His failure to make it onto the pitch last Saturday means that this Sunday (if he features) will be his

599th senior game as a professional in ALL competitions (note, this also includes League, Cup, England U21 games as a youngster and Anglo-italian games with Portsmouth)

We have been aware of this milestone for some time and would have been celebrating it had it urned into his 600th.

Alas it's not to be .... First game of next season perhaps ?

Shame as I fear we may not see him next season.

Still 599 is not a bad effort.

I've a sneaking feeling we might..... he might not get as many games as this season but i believe we need him to help our young lads come through

I can definitely see a player/coach role for Tank next season, perhaps as a defensive coach, seeing as their average age will be about 12, might help to have him around.

A lad I went to school with played over 500 games for Horsham, they presented him with an engraved tankard to mark the occasion, I would hope that even the Albion could stretch further than a KFC bargain bucket!

Gary Kelly made his 500th appearance for Leeds this season, he got presented with who knows what - plates, tankards, cuff links, trophies and the club put on a surprise party for him.

Tis some feat in this day and age!

Almost congrats to Tank!

Hmmmm ... would the REMF match and the Kerry Mayo Testimonial Match count :) :) :)

I guess they wouldn;t be considered "first class" (in the nicest possible way of course :lolol: )
