I'll admit I didn't expect this thread to go in this particular direction, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Nice.
I guess it depends which champagne....there's a hell of a lot out there.Personally, the home grown sparkling wine is pretty damn good. There are some very decent vineyards and all producing top notch fizz. Rather pricey but having had Champagne recently I would say champagne is not as good and the French know it. That said, I have yet to enjoy a Red produced in this country. Will continue to stick to other continents.
Paper bag with a can of Diamond White and a couple of firelighters?Crystal.....oh hang on.
I did all six and all I got was an overdraft.Anyone only missing Athens away must be really hurting now.
Not only missing out on our first ever tear gassing but a goodie bag as well.
Gutted.
The thread derailment here is of johnsonian proportions. Sorry, must rush - I have another meeting. Most cheap Prosecco is artificially gasified while I think all cava has a second fermentation in the bottle like champagne does. There is some high end cava that is easily as good as Champagne.

Not so fast...Crystal.....oh hang on.
FOUR, I think.Would be interesting to know how many lucky recipients there were.

that and All-Bar-One bottomless brunches.Isn't the region for Prosecco the whole of Italy?
I knew one of the owner's nephews really well when I was doing my A levels. I remember when he planted his vineyards to much mirth from pretty much every angle. He clearly had the last laugh.I did a tour of Denbies vineyard a few months ago.
Due to climate change, they are now growing the Pinot Noir grape. They started 6 years ago and the first harvest was last year with bottles due to be sold later this year, I guess the whole production thing is a bit more involved than squashing a few grapes! Their wines & fizz are very good so will give it a try when it comes out.
Yep, the winner got a bottle of Blue Nun and a bag of Twiglets. Not so fast...
Palace are doing a "2 out of 2" for those supporters who have witnessed BOTH of their home PL wins so far this season.
