Home at Last.
I for one will have some quiet reflection tomorrow, as it is the anniversary of the Zeebrugge Disaster first heard news in the early evening that day and still can taste the whole of that fateful week.

Me & Mrs Mart went on a booze cruise to Zeebrugge just a few days after it had happened, and it was a tad errie and unsettling sailing past the giant upturned hull just outside the harbour.

i will never forget that day either, i was in a pub celebrating my 32 birthday when the news came through

A lady I work with travelled on that crossing 24 hours earlier, she was due to be on that ferry but had run out of money travelling in Europe.

My husband was on the way from Dover to Zebrugge. I was in complete panic mode until it was confirmed which way the ship was going.
I had two friends on the ship, they both survived.
