May all those that lost their lives rest in peace.

And may God bless all those affected.

I think you'll find it was somebody's God who was the problem in the first place....

Here's an oxymoron for you, God bless all Atheists.....:US:

Same here, can't quite believe it has been 5 years!

When I think of 7/7 & 9/11 I try to think of REMF and all the good things that the charity prosper to achieve

Let's not turn this into a 'attack HBB' or 'God debate' thread.

Just remember. RIP.

I can't believe it has been five years.

If anyone finds themselves in the British Museum in Barbican, I would suggest spending a couple of hours reading a book of eulogies and letters to all those killed. Very moving indeed.

RIP

Sadly, there can be no peace for anyone to rest in, all the time that people continue to believe in gods that will reward them for mass murder.

Let us never forget that those 52 people died because four deluded, brainwashed fools felt that their need to reach an imaginary paradise was greater than the need for those who did not share their delusions to live in peace.

Until humanity can grow out of religion, there can be no peace.

well man has been following some sort of deity since the beginning of time....the conflict of the Persian World and the rest of the world goes back to the time of Xerxes and Darius and the ancient Greek city states, Sparta etc.

Religion is not the problem, mans interpretation of it is.

nice contradiction you got yourself there, man creates religion in the first place.

Two days, two very contrasting events five years ago.
Five years yesterday, the joy of the announcement that London got the 2012 Olympics and the marvellous scenes from Trafalger Sq.
The following day the terrible images of the tube trains and bus that were destroyed and the complete sorrow for the 52 innocents that lost their lives ... very sad day.

I echo all of the above and say well done to the police and intelligence services for helping to make it 5 years without a repeat.

If you don't have a religion, yes your correct.

But if you believe in a creator and a God then religion/God created Man.

god and religion are not the same thing. religion is the belief or worshiping of god(s) and the rituals around that. a god might exist independently of anyone worshiping them and vice versa.

unless you believe that literally every single word of a given text was handed down from the particular deity, but that is clearly nosensical when there are so many translations and interpretions even amongst the scholars. comes back to the point, man creates religion regardless of its validity.
