"And these are the sort of morons that we have given up part of the Sussex Downs for, so that they can have an ugly stadium that will cause traffic chaos every time there is a match".

This comment left on Brighton& Hove news site.

This is the reason we don't want idiots like Josh Moore at our new stadium.

Easy, this is aimed at you. Sussex Police advertise on local radio that people can telephone them to report dangerous/antisocial (hate that bollocks term) driving. I could repeatedly call and give your numberplate and report that you were doing the above. Maybe if I rang enough times they could ask for your driving licencse to be revoked - would that be fair?

And if you were making all of that up, then I would assume Easy WOULD contest the matter.

Oh for christs sake this is getting ridiculous. I would assume your photos would have to prove I was doing something dangerous / antisocial for anything to come of it, would they not.

They presented evidence - EVIDENCE - of this bloke contributing to violence on 13 separate occasions. He contested NONE of this, so they clearly had him bang to rights. Now he's taking his medicine for being a dickhead.

So they should have let him off eh ? Tap on the wrist and all that. How about if this cretin lamped you one this Saturday at the Tranmere game ? And you then found out he'd just been up in front of the beak for 13 other counts of violence ? Would you want to be number 14 ? How liberal would you be to his rights then ?

Sheesh.

From various posts on this forum you should be able to tell that I am no liberal once someone has been convicted.

If he had contested the charge he would have been tried and convicted. Simple. Some on here need to brush up on the law a bit. If a solicitor has even the tiniest grounds to contest a charge they will, believe me.

As I said before, with his history our club is sensible to refuse him entry to our ground and to not sell him tickets for away games.

To ban him from every football ground and make him report to his local police station when England are playing abroad is indefensible.

He has not been convicted of a criminal offence! As far as I can see.

He hasn't been convicted in a court but he has accepted, by acceptance of his caution and not contesting the evidence, that he is guilty. The punishment fits the crime. We don't know from the report but maybe he has been to watch England and because of this he is banned from their games.

Maybe his solicitor said to him it would be better if you accepted the charges. And he took his advice. We don't know the details, they don't print that sort of stuff in the papers.

Conjecture. It could be that he had another 100 cases of violence that wasn't observed by the Police. Who knows. Fact is, there is a guy who is a pillock who now needs to find something else to do on Saturday afternoons.

The authorities have cautioned him 13 times apparently, not one charge or conviction. He has not offended.

As I said before, with his history our club is sensible to refuse him entry to our ground and to not sell him tickets for away games.

 really? so you dont know what a caution is? ok, suppose not every realises, but people have pointed it out here and still you say he hasnt been convicted? heres a couple of clues:

A Brighton and Hove Albion fan was today banned from going to any of his beloved team’s matches after being found guilty of violent behaviour.

Joshua Moore, 21, of Chichester Drive East, Saltdean, was served a five year football banning order today at Eastbourne Magistrates court.

Moore was observed by Sussex Police football spotters over a period of four years and on 13 occasions was found to contribute to violence and / or disorder at home and away matches. Moore did not contest the evidence.

you have to be charged to go to the Magistrates and being found guilty is a conviction. as for the punishment, its not like he's going to jail, its in proportion and directly related to the offence. (though banning from going to brighton 6hrs after a game seems a tad strong)

Doesn't answer my point.
What if he'd got off without a ban, and then smacked you in the gob on Saturday ?

You really don't get it do you? I quoted that because we have enough people who don't like the idea of Falmer as it is. We need to be proving these people wrong.

I notice you ignore all the posts about the legality issues.

Exactly.

Many years ago (yawn) I found mysely in court on a charge of 'obstruction' - nothing to do with football I may add . I went to court with every bone in my body telling me to plead not guilty. The prosecution solicitor offered to drop the charge if I accepted to be ' bound over' for one year. This seemed sensible as it meant no criminal record and there was no chance of me being involved in criminal behaviour as I never had been before.

After agreeing to his proposal imagine my surprise when he applied to the court that I should pay the prosecution's costs!

We're not talking a one-off incident that he was unluckily caught up in though are we, which you can accept with no significant consequences. We are talking 13 incidents that carry a penalty of a 5 year ban from football, which is so serious a penalty that he and his friend are determined that "they won't stop us."

If he's a nob at football and ruining peoples enjoyment of the football then he should be BANNED from football.

Very simple and sensible.

Yes. The moral is don't do stuff that lands you in court. Then you won't have to make the choice of Guilty or Not Guilty will you? No. Quite. Your witness.
