Ideally Chelsea call back Bamford and loan him to us, 2nd choice definitely James Wilson, either of them and we will be in the premier league next season
Chelsea are unable to call back Bamford until January.

If we're going to go down the loan route with one or two of our up and coming signings we should maybe consider a move for Antonio. He's currently warming his derriere on the West Ham bench. We all what he's capable of at Championship level.

Did not get past Bruno.

5 players is a good number. Here were CH's January reinforcements to cement Newcastle's title challenge in 2010:

26 January 2010 MF England Wayne Routledge England Queens Park Rangers £1m
27 January 2010 DF England Mike Williamson England Portsmouth £1m
1 February 2010 FW Republic of Ireland Leon Best England Coventry City Undisclosed
LOAN 29 January 2010 DF England Fitz Hall England Queens Park Rangers expired 31 May 2010
LOAN 29 January 2010 DF Netherlands Patrick van Aanholt England Chelsea expired 28 February 2010

All the players (except Best) made a reasonable amount of appearances driving the team to success. Routledge was the best player Newcastle had faced prior to the January window and went on to score 3 goals. But Newcastle already had Løvenkrands, Carroll, Ameobi, Harewood, Xisco, Donaldson, Baheng, Danquah & Ranger as striker options so didn't need to find goals like we do.

Routledge = very good Willimason = good. Best = abysmal Hall = unknown Van Aanholt = very good & abysmal.

CH seems to know his defensive players, not so hot on the attackers.

Two to sign out of a choice of five.

As we have a 25 man squad, we coud also see two departures out on loan.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brighton_&_Hove_Albion_F.C.#Current_squad

So we may only see a single first team squad signing? And one out on loan?

In English?

There is no restriction on squad size so not sure why there might be only one player coming in
There were 4 players on the bench on Sunday who wouldn't normally feature in Hughton's first team squad as it stands and three of those could well go out on loan in January if not on Thursday

Reading The Argus it appears that when the window closes on Thursday thats it, no more loan windows after the August transfer window closes.
Yes, as things stand the next February loan window is the last loan window ever.

As per the last Palace thread neither Frazer Campbell nor Dwight Gayle in the squad for Palace but could help us on loan.

Campbell: no thanks. Not even sure why Palace signed him TBH. Gayle I think might be pretty decent (his Championship record for Peterborough wasn't too bad in the half a season or so he played, also has a bit of pace which neither of our current first choice strikers are particularly blessed with).

Couldn't see those twunts up the road lending him out to us though, despite the fact that he's sat wasting away on their bench or in their reserves. Will never happen.

I wasnt sure about that as it says that the March deadline will remain so how does that work.
It wasn't particularly clear in the article, but they were trying to say that this season is the last with loan windows, and we were getting to the end of the first one. There will still be another in February, but I also found the article wasn't exactly successful in getting this point across.

Assuming this goes to form, you'll soon be told 'I wasn't suggested they are who we go for', followed by 'who should we sign, Rooney & Kane? some fans are so deluded'.

Kane has been on loan a fair bit to be fair. If Bloom had any ambition at all, he'd make sure he got him in.

As is Zeki Fryers who didn't even make their 25 man squad. Expect him to go out on loan but again probably not to us.... still think Pocognoli from West Brom would be a good one to bring in, shame that one didn't happen.

Wasnt particularly succesful with any team although it must be said he was young and inexperienced. I wouldnt be against either Campbell or Gayle on loan now to take us through to January, when it is expected that we will be spending big.
