We are doing this as a decent pace... 221-0 at tea on the first day is excellent.

Strauss has had a couple of lives, and there has been some decent bounce and a little swing... it won't look the same when England bowl on it - especially with a decent total to bowl at!

I really hope Alistair Cook goes on to make a 100 and flourish... and then there is some exciting batting to come too...

Probably gone into this a bowler short and suspect this is due to Prior not being here rather than Flintoff being out. If Prior had played he could have come in at 6, but Ambrose is at best a number 7.
