4986 fans turned up at Reading v Stevenage in the FA Cup tonight (16/1/18) and 608 of them were from Stevenage. Not sure of admission prices.

To be fair, they are having a crap season and it was their reserves in a cup replay against a team they should beat without the need for one.

Its a poor attendance but not unexpected

Sad to see the FA Cup losing its importance. Maybe Reading did get their ticket pricing and availability wrong; on the other hand, it's a bl**dy cold 'orrible night!

The " Magic " of the Cup is quite obviously failing... Even the BBC can't be arsed to puff it this year.

Seriously though, teams just need to almost give tickets away for these games.Rather than have 4986 paying what, around £15-25?,just sell the tickets for £5 and have 15.000 /20.000 and make the same money but get a better crowd.More importantly sell cheap to get the kids in.

24k full houses in the PL.....14k ish in the Championship....not sure our gates would fall by 40% if we were relegated. Last night was dire ( 4986 ) and indicative of a fan base disgruntled with their team/manager.
