I was, in the south stand and had a great view of the winning goal, unfortunately. Was the scorer called ' Kelly'? Think so, just can't remember his first name, but he was a cocky so and so.

Dickie Guy was the keeper for Wimbledon when they played Leeds Utd in the 70s I think. There's a very grainy YouTube clip of the Leatherhead goal. Says it's from the 1974/75 season.

I was there on the chicken run with my dad and a family friend...from Leatherhead.

I have a feeling it might have been the biggest gate of the season (around 20k) which says something about the status of the FA Cup then and now.

Good grief. 40 years? I was also in the Chicken Run. The "Leatherhead Lip" scored. He was later sold to Millwall. As far as I know he didn't go on to have a successful career.

2000 tanners in the south stand! Kicked off outside the south afterwards Leicester hosted the tanners in the next round,leatherhead went 2 up and the lip rounded the keeper for a third then did a bit of showboating defender cleared the ball and Leatherhead went on to lose 3-2

Yes I was in the north stand , big crowd around 20000 , can't remember much about the match , apart from we were not very good that day ,

I was there and at the time, it seemed so embarrassing ,losing to a non league team. A few years later, ended up playing against dickie guy on a family holiday on a beach in Majorca .
