I am at work so cannot get any coverage.
Does anyone know if D/L method has been updated to take into account the new batting powerplay?

Unreal the ground has permenent floodlights and the game gets called off for bad light wtf

This is the latest i can find from the ICC web site re.
Standard one day international match playing conditions.
section 3-8.

USE OF LIGHTS.

If in the opinion of the umpires, natural light is deteriorating to an unfit Leval they shall authorize the ground authorities to use the available artificial light so that the match can continue in acceptable conditions.

So hello what happened then oh i forgot of course we are playing in india and they do what they want.????.

I thought that before the start of a series both sides had to agree to use lights in the event of bad natural light. I'm not 100% sure of that though.

I'm sure it can't be as simple as switching the lights on as there have been other instances of one day games finishing for bad light - and not just in India

Surely they wouldn't have gone off if it was below the D/L run rate.

Why would any batsman voluntarily opt to lose a game?

Which is exactly why there should be no choice given to the players in this situation, even in a test match. It should be down to the umpires at all times to make these calls.
