We need to start playing those mismatched 19th century matches (those novelty matches like 1 armed XI v 1 legged XI).

If we let the other side play 13 players we might struggle.

Or maybe drop down to our 4th XI.

Prefer the option of triangular tournaments so like the Aussies did against us on a regular basis we can have an England v England A final, with both having defeated the touring side.

To be fair (to the sides who toured Australia in the 90s) I think they only added Australia A once.

I think it's a shame we don't have triangular competitions now though, a proper final makes the whole thing seem more worthwhile, and I'd think most games in England would get a decent crowd.

Also, assuming the side touring in the 2nd half of the season takes part, it means they get a decent run into to test series.
