A Norwich supporter has been arrested and banned from Carrow Road for three years after throwing a mobile phone on to the pitch.

The incident reportedly happened after Canaries striker Teemu Pukki had a goal ruled out for offside by the video assistant referee (VAR) during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

The fan was identified and arrested at half-time.

Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

"Norwich City continues to operate a strict zero-tolerance policy on unacceptable and discriminatory behaviour," said a club statement

He's from Norwich, give him a break. Wouldn't have known what it was.......probably just very scared of the shiny flashing noise-box someone near him produced.

Shouldn't have had his phone in hand during the game, serves him right.

Pie - acceptable.
Fizzy pop - acceptable.
Small child - acceptable.
Mobile phone - unacceptable.

Although were it a land line phone I would class that as acceptable too.

They have mobile phones in Norwich?

Must have been a present from his mum and sister. Lovely woman, apparently.

Before we get carried away I seem to recall an occasional NSC poster throwing his phone onto the concourse after an on pitch kerfuffle many years ago - either at Sunderalnd or Oldham away. He was certainly escorted from the ground at Oldham. No names, etc :lolol:

Silly old bat
Phones go the way of bottle tops? We still have pies at the Amex, despite a Brighton fan getting a ban for throwing a pie at Zaha.

His mum should have kept quiet when they rang her
