Well it's above inflation but on the other hand there is this piffly stadium thing to be paid for.

Oh, and we're going to have a decent season next time out. :)

A stadium I was under the impression Mr Bloom had already paid for.

The increase was about what I expected.

In an ideal world they would have dropped the price as a 'thanks for spending a small fortune to watch shit football in shit conditions for the last however many years'.

i think it has been increased now so it wont be such a jump at Falmer, i reckon the rise this time next year will be 2% making it a 5% increase over 2 years.....

If that's the case then the club have missed a trick by not doing it the other way round. I fear they will increase 4/5% next year on top of this increase, makes no sense to increase less when there will be more people very willing to pay a bit extra for a swanky new stadium.

VAT increase is 2.5% remember. So in reality this is only a .5% increase. I am deliberately overlooking that there was no reduction when the reduced VAT rate came in. Unfortunately this is a supply and demand situation, we all know people who will be buying their first season ticket for years next season therefore the price increases.

At least we know where the £90 million will come from now - sky high prices at Withdean and Falmer

just a inflation price rise , Brighton and hove albion are a business at the end of the day and looking at the state of poor Tonys trainers last sunday he could do with the dosh

i think that your arguement is exactly the point, we need to sell more next time round a smaller rise will entice people into buying season tickets as opposed to seats on a game by game basis. If we fail to win promototion next year Falmer could be an emptyish ground when we play Yeovil at home and full to capacity vs Charlton or Leeds etc. A smaller rise would ensure a higher average attendance. Which would result in higher food/drink/merchandise sales on a game by game basis. If we win promotion i think the rise will be nearer 5%.

Correct, But we still owe him the money to be paid back some way by 2025.

I voted for worth it considering the input of cash for stadium and transfers.

I want one, don't think the 3% will break the bank , but finding finances may do

I expected an increase but to be honest I thought my previous season tickets has cost more then that to be honest - I thought they were touching 500 notes whereas mine next season will be 440
