England 452-5 (125.4 overs) Root 191* Stokes 25* :clap2:

but 'only' going at RR2.9 in the last 10 overs. Might see that kick on a bit if/when Root 200+?

Throw the bat at it until just after tea and then give Pakistan a nervous hour and a half or so to negotiate with the bat at the end of the afternoon.

Review for Stokes caught behind... tough call, very close, possibly a flick off the glove, but nothing conclusive...

Blimey.. he's given it. Tough call I would say.

Stokes gone for 34 (51 balls, 5 fours).

471-6 (130.1 overs)

It looked like the mark was on the glove prior to the ball arriving.

That was my thinking. The angle on the ball passing the bat suggested it must have routed the glove, but still a bold call.

I'd want twenty overs at them tonight. Go carving for a handful after tea and get them in.
