Did anyone watch the final of 24 yesterday. It was very good, but in my opinion but seemed a bit rushed. Major shock when Plamer collapsed and the woman who blew up the plane returned - I reckon she is working in collaboration with Nina.

Bit stupid how 20 mins after Jack has a heart attack he is kung fuing everyone but there you go, but it was a nice move anyway.

Can't wait for next series - what does everyone else think will happen? It is set three years in the future and Palmers brother Wayne is in it.

I was a little disappointed in the final episode. But then after some excellent episodes before the bomb exploded maybe my expectations levels were to high. Ordered the box set on Amazon tonight though. :) :clap2: :D

The President Palmer twist at the end I didn’t see coming. I wonder if he survives and makes it to the third series.

I reckon he dies and the disease spreads across the world with Jack Bauer the only person who can stop it. To write Kim into it I bet she gets the disease as well

I like Kim (after all she is pleasant on the eye) but I was expecting to have some significance by the end of the series. Although not as anti her character as some on the 24 message board I do think she should be better used.

I can’t even begin to work out what the Palmer hit was about. Kingsley wanted to start the war to push up oil prices. But the planes were turned round on the basis of the false Cyprus recording and so war was averted. So I as yet fail to see how infecting the President post event may have a bearing on events. That said it I really want to see what happens next. If it does jump three years I wonder how they will fill in the period between series 2 and 3.

In terms of the third series if it is anything as good as the first 15 episodes of series 2 we are in for a real treat.

It must all go back to the Drazens somehow as it was surely personal in the end. And Mandy popped up again to do the job too, and she was used by Ira Gaines in the 1st series.

You can't think logically when it comes to 24. You have to think big :lolol:

it goes back above the drazens. nina was employed by germans as was mandy in the first series - she comments to her lezzer friend while working for gaines that 'things were better working for max' (the german guy on the boat)

palmer doesn't die as he's had his contract renewed for season 3 but that leaves some interesting story telling as to what happened in between. (he's also been seen filming on a college campus in america with his new chief of staff - db woodside, principal wood from buffy, for anyone thats seen series 7)

latest 'confirmed rumour' from fox is that kim turns lez in the nest series :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Nina was also in collaboration with the Drezens - so she might have a key role to play

This is the problem with 24.

I watched the first series hoping that, with this new format, something interesting could be done which would shake up the genre of the TV drama series. Unfortunately, the whole 24hr thing proved little more than a marketing ploy and was not allowed to shape the narrative. If something would, in real life, take longer than the format would allow for, then the format was forgotten and the 'exciting' plot twist became just another plot twist in just another drama. Yawn.

So, I didn't bother with series 2 - if the makers couldn't actually USE this fantastic new formula, what was the point?

Anyway, glad to see I was right not to bother, and that the makers still have not come to terms with the format. If they do in series 3, let me know so I can buy the DVD. But I ain't going to waste my time watching it until I know they can be arsed to provide something new.

p.s exeter, i think the hit on palmer was an attempt to push the hot headed yanks over the edge and go to war as its 'obviously' the arabs. :dunce:

But all the powers that be know it was not the Arabs and that it was Kingsley.

The public hot headed as it may be heard about the nuclear explosion some hours ago and the lack of response against any countries added to the leaked briefings that would be coming out would probably make them strongly doubt it was the Arabs.
