1 of,if not THE best day of my life.

Even better than the final in my book.

Got covered in lager when Jimmy Case scored, lost my voice and saw a chocolate machine ripped off the wall at a station on the way back.

Still got the ticket stub and a signed programme in a frame at home.

I was there: I lived two streets away from Highbury at the time so it was a home game for me.

A great day out.

Quality day out, sun was shining, cracking goal by Case, scramble from Robinson, got in the bar at Highbury at the end even though I was only 11, remember seeing Bob Bolder outside looking very pissed off at the end. Was it really 23 years ago??

Wasn't there, but was possibly conceived that evening considering I was born 9 months later almost to the day :drink:

I'm behind you!
Yes some great memories. Jimmy's goal has already been mentioned. How about that save from Mose? Had to be one of the most important he made for us.

I'm sure that those who were there will remember Robo's headgear in the celebrations around the pitch after the game.

Does anyone remember the copper from the MET singing the words to Sussex by the Sea, accompanied by the police band (before the kick off) - or did I dream it ?
I also remember standing outside the dressing rooms after the game and hearing the albion lads singing while Jack Charlton was sitting glumly on the Weds team bus just outside.

I was living in Turnpike Lane and walked to Highbury. As I approached Finsbury Park all I could see was Wednesday fans filling the streets and it wasn't until I got on the Islington side of Highbury that I saw a sea of Albion fans heading to the ground. I remember the sickening feeling when they equalised, the ball entering their net in slow motion for our winner at the opposite end, and the agonising last few minutes. As I walked home the streets by Finsbury Park were, again, filled with Wednesday fans many shocked, some sitting on walls head in hands, some in tears. Although I was on cloud nine, I felt
really sorry for them.

I was there, unable to celebrate at the end of the game as I got entangled with a load of unhappy Wendys.

Did okay at Victoria though !
