I know from previous conversations on here there are many huge Proms fans amongst the Albion fanbase.

Incredible first night, got to be one of the best first nights for many, many years. The roar from Clive Myrie when the first act came on for an encore was something to behold and Sandi Toksvig in tears too. Elon Chans first night debut was a rip roaring success.

Really looking forward to the Nick Drake Orchestral Celebration, arranged by the fabulous Jules Buckley with the BBC SO on Weds 24th.

Víkingur Olafsson a personal highlight too.

I'm going to hear Strauss's An Alpine Symphony in August, my children are off to the Doctor Who one at the end of that month.

I used to go occasionally when I was working nearby, queuing up and paying a fiver. Now - I discovered recently, probably been like it for a while - there is no queuing any more: if you want to get in as a walk-in Promer you need to get busy trying to secure a ticket online early that morning.

Yeah, that's a bit of a pain - dependent on technology working. I used to like the old-fashioned queue. I've bought an advance ticket for the Suzuki St John's Passion and I'm wavering over the Glagolitic Mass, one of my favourite pieces. I'm just about to splash out for a few BREMF tickets in October so it could hard on the wallet

Went to Prom 4 - Mahler 5th symphony on Sunday. Mark Elder’s final concert with the Halle. I let my son choose something each year - he is far more expert than me - it’s always a special night. Tickets in centre of Rausing circle £23 which is pretty reasonable - sound is great.

Just been catching up on the Proms after all the pomp. ceremony and downright joy of the NHC.

Sam Smith was outrageously good, they are one of the greatest live acts of their generation but you never quite know how their music would go down with an orchestra but they knocked it out of the park. All credit to them.

Their outfit for the second half of the performance was stunning.

A question to our Proms experts, has Good Old Sussex by the Sea ever been played at the proms?
