I remember the incredible levels of excitement around the Amex when Paddy McCourt was warming up/about to come on. Completely unjustified obviously, but he gave the crowd so much HOPE. You could tell the entire Albion crowd were desperate for him to absolutely BOSS a game, and each time he picked up the ball you could sense the anticipation in the air. I feel like if he'd been playing in the 1970's he would have been a global superstar but as it was, he would often be seen wandering about, looking confused. There was a video I saw a while back of his "greatest solo runs"....hardly any of them would result in a goal or anything, but his ability to beat a man was IMMENSE

definitely McCourt for this one, it's a no brainer

don't forget the current chant for Knockaert was ORIGINALLY for McCourt. People were so desperate to see him in action that he had his own chant

then he'd come on, instantly take it past 6 players, blaze it over the bar and then go missing for the rest of the game

he's almost the definition of "flair icon"

Going to have a think about this one, superficially it is McCourt, walking round players and being drunk all the time, but then Jose has a pet pig called Peter, a Bulldog called Lucho, and arrived with a Honey Badger hair style. McCourt is the old style flair, epitomised. Jose is the modern version, but perhaps too professional to be truly Flair?
