The Story So Far........Always does well without ever really troubling the big guns, this fishy fiend impressed in the first round, finishing second with 18 votes (17.65%). Went into the second round battle with the heavily fancied Cassowary and caused a minor upset as he came out with a 33-25 victory.

The Story So Far........The reigning champion came into 2012 with a lot of pressure on its sizeable shoulders. Placed in a tricky looking Group B, the king of the sea never looked in trouble, winning the group with 29 votes (28.71%). All eyes were on the champ when he faced the newcomer Tardigrade in the second round, however he avoided a giant killing as he came out with a 30-21 victory.

But they do so in packs, remember. I love sharks and find them fascinating, and would love to vote GWS. However, I know that the orca is proper hard in itself and fears nothing, and probably deserves a shot at beating the honey badger in the most predictable final ever.

To be honest, I'm not scared of GWSs either when I have the equipment to defend myself. In my case, a sizeable vessel, in the orca's case about 10 of it's mates, all 50% bigger than the fish.

This is gonna be a rout. The both live in the sea and the Orca dominates that environment no questions asked. The Great white is not even the hardest Shark, basically despite Spielberg making a two hour film bigging up the Great White we still know that they are pussies compared to the Orca.

true, but would a pack of great whites ever attack even a lone infant orca? i haven't heard of such cases, but am willing to be proven wrong for the good of the tournament

i know this isn't supposed to be "who'd win in a fight" but when you have a one on one voting face off, containing one creature that shits its pants at the very sight of the other, it's hard to argue

my favourite thing about the orca is that it emerged from the potential CAREER RUINING monstrosity that was 'Free Willy' and yet still maintained its reputation as a grade-a bad ass

that must've taken some considerable effort

There's no such thing a pack of great white sharks, they don't need to gang up when they can get stuff done on their own.
