Think this is a great deal as from what i have seen of him at forest he was shite and most forest fans think the same, although he was played out of position.???

Good deal.

Very average and not much better than what we have at the moment IMO.

£200k + clauses is a good bit of business.

£350k plus 25% for a player that has slagged off our club. If he was pissed off with Adams, slag off Adams and if he was pissed off with Knight, slag off Knight but he slagged off the club. Big time charley who will spend his whole career dreaming of the other career his potential should have achieved.

Didn't Dick turn down a bid from Stoke for him of FAR more than the pittance we just sold him for?

I guess my issue is how much a replacement would cost. We need someone who can cover left back. Something Lynch PROVED he could do in the league above.

I guess if it gets to the point where he wants out then our hand is forced and we take what we can get.

Would have been nice if it had never got to this sorry situation. Under Wilkins, Lynch and Elphick looked like blossoming into a hugely impressive young partnership.

Have you watched him for Forest? Has he "PROVED" anything there really?
They see him as a prospect maybe, and perhaps with a clean slate he's trying harder than with us.

I reckon for a lad who didn't want to play here - a deal.
IF he was ready to put himself out for us then maybe I'd say differently.

Good bit of business :clap2:

Nice lad, bit misunderstood and what with his family problems last year, it was good for him to get away. Not treated particularly well by Adams.

Lets go spend the money on O'Toole!

Good deal , the prospect of another £75k and a 25% sell on clause plus we get Thornhill on loan until the beginning of the new year. Thornhill is an attacking midfielder and could be one of the missing pieces in the jigsaw.

I don't think we could have got more. He would never be happy so better that he buggered off.

Pleased with that to be honest. He clearly wanted to move to Forest so best for all concerned that he finally moved there permanently. We have enough quality at centre back and they are players who actually want to be here. As far as left back is concerned, I never rated him when I saw him playing there. I remember Mansfield at home in the cup a couple of years ago, when he was poor, and his mistakes led to both of their goals.

That said we still need cover at left back, at least until Jimmy Mac gets fit to play again (I don't think Livermore is the answer), but I'm sure RS will have this sorted by the lads take to the pitch against Walsall
