2.67 Billion

Thats how many Olympic related scratchcards and tickets that have to be sold by 2012 to raise the intended £750 million. (28p a ticket).

This means that you, me and everybody eligible (about 40.3m) have to each buy 56 between now and 2012.

I know this has f*** all to do with the Albion, but I work in sports administration and already £340m will be taken from developing grass roots sport around the UK...including football. This could be increased to the sole benefit of London.

I have only ever bought 3 scratchcards as its a mugs game, and I am unlikley to do so just to help Lord Coe Chelsea fan. Are you?

There are much better ways to pay for the Olympics than relying on this, honest I know!

Sorry, been doing research all day and got angry wanted a whinge, and this is teh best place I know!

Surely that's a bit of skewed statistics though, they aren't saying that the £750 Million is coming solely from the sale of the Olympics scratchcards they are saying that the lottery will donate that amount of money so it will come from all lottery sales. the olympic scratchcard is just one of a series of games that the Lottery will run to help raise the amount.

Some people buy that many in a week because they are so addicted to scratch cards and the lottery in general. There was a documentary about it a while ago and some woman had about £10 to live off a month after she had lost the rest on those things.

I remember seeing that. Used to spend about £45 of her weekly benefit on the things and live off the remaining £10.
