Thanks..shame the boys had an off day!
Do you think that they had 1 eye on the Liverpool game and didn't want to risk getting injured?

I'd be disappointed if that was the case.

Just an observation...we were second best all over the pitch and seemingly refused to tackle.......

may be because the ref booked everyone for everything?

Vassell had some class diving moments today!

Stewards got no idea then, they told me the away end held 1500, looked much more than than..

Their official site confirms the number-have taken similar in the past,The old Filbert street had a great away end,the league cup game and a boxing day match in the 90's saw at least 2000 present at both matches-

We had over 3000 to Chesterfield away a few years ago, so 2000 to Leicester is OK but not much more than OK

That was an exception that season, that said still a fantastic effort and we were 11 odd games unbeaten-a usual trip to Chesterfield in league 1 would have topped out at 500.

Not really mate, I was at Rochdale that year for a midweek game where we had over 500 on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. Had over 2500/3000 at Notts County as well as big followings at Southend, London games and over 1500 at Huddersfield, all the same season. 2000 for Brighton away is nothing special, especially if top the league

As I said last week the turn outs are solid but we took 2300 to Bristol city in 2002 and that was in the division below now! 1700 this season!

Hmm i agree to a point-what about Blackpool? i think,over 500 midweek,league 1 during a fuel crisis.

As for Southend, yes we took 3500 for the Kuipers/Adams game some years back in the basement/promotion season first game-other times about 1500 & have been to Southend in 90/91/92 with less than 1000 and the old bill commented as to where we all were-that was a bad turnout on a terrace opposite to the current away end.

How much was a ticket for a L1 game in 2002? I bet it was a fair wack cheaper. Petrol prices were lower, train prices were lower, less people unemployed etc etc.

wages and inflation, cost of living also lower and in proportion to today-that said football is not-if and it will never happen,if football dropped it's prices by 15% across the board an increase in gates would be noticeable, that said so would the drop in players absurd salaries as well..
