Moeen Ali will lead England men's cricket team in their first match in Pakistan for 17 years.

Buttler is out with a dodgy calf.

I am a cricket follower and did not even know about this series. Far to many international games. So many which was are important and which ones have strongest side out. Preffered it when we had 5 tests plus one dayers in summer and same on a winter tour. Now on tours players have choice of not going.
All these games is reason we hardly ever see international players in domestic cricket

Far too many international games and far too much short stuff. HOWEVER this is one 20/20 series I will follow where I can - I was in Pakistan during our Test tour there in 2005 - Pakistanis are cricket mad and the country is a really interesting one - such a shame that ordinary cricket fans have been deprived of tours - but wholly understandable too of course

Wonderful, just wonderful that we are playing in Pakistan after all these years. Hopefully it can also provide sort sort of positivity for the country after the terrible floods recently

Hope it's a great series

Pakistan were the team who agreed to come over and play in the COVID bubble to provide us with some much needed cricket during the summer of 2020 so we owed them a visit.

Just hope it all goes off peacefully and that Pakistan gets to host regular cricket again - no matter what Ian Botham might have said about the place all those years ago.

Both the cricketer was fantastic - some of his statements/opinions etc are a different thing altogether imo

Couldn’t agree more, pray for Leicester……maybe best all round if England threw the series.

I'd happily keep the mother-in-law and send Ian Botham there instead.

Hmm, you’ve not been to Yorkshire have you?

Certainly have but worked within the Birmingham Asian community for 15 years+ and travelled to Pakistan. The formation of Pakistan in 1947 and all that entailed is still raw 75 years later!

Re the cricket we do seem to specialise in left arm seamers these days! Game in the balance - spin is king!
