Hither (sometimes Thither)
Just moments from the end of that Ipswich game when each team had a goal to share i stared at the weedy ground i stood on in the north. Chance was never a thing that charmed me with regularity and glory was the type of women who would spit on me if i were on fire, but only because she had a bubble gum that had spent its flavour in her mouth and had nothing else to offer. We had that free-kick and it could only be struck by a right-footer over the sort of man who had to wipe his moustache like a baby's bum. It was an impossibility that seconds would pass and all would finish in splendour. Any joust has blood and gore and splintered bone, but no cup or cerificate of grandeur.
I had hidden my sight from happening and fever. Then everyone started jumping. Electric shocks. Unseated punishment for a life of petty crime. I had to leap too and ask questions as to why i was. It was that Wilkins then forever bent in my thought.
To sum up, i like thinking of Wilkins.

I've never seen that goal, and probably never will.

Sounds incredible though.....

My favourite Albion moment. North stand went mental, I remember trying to shout but struggled for breath in the melee. Wilkins  .

That was amazing , seeing it from the North stand bend into the corner. Leaping through the gate guarded by stewards and dancing in the penalty area , looking at the north stand erupting .

Brilliant brilliant moment

Plenty of albion videos with it on, it was special, i was just a little boy in the south stand.

Never thought i'd experience anything like that again...........

.....then we battered millwall in the next game- unbelievable. Feel sorry for the young guns that missed 1991-

Wendy Wilkins is GOD!

Oh yes. I was standing in the West stand terrace south, right in front of the seated bit. Phil Parkes seemed to float like a levitating rhinoceros as the ball curved into the net and then when he finally landed he catapulted everyone onto their feet, and my head crashed into the blue ledge above me so hard that I saw stars.
