Doubt it our fans are not animals. Perhaps a separate entrance?

Not sure it could work in practice as it would be as easy as pie to forge a 1901 season ticket so there would have to be more scan facilities.
Sorry mate,1901 tickets are practically foolproof...unless you know a dodgy gateman.

Have been investigating the possibility of becoming a 1901 member next season. I'm currently a season ticket holder in upper west.

Having read through the website and after reading some of the feedback on this forum I'm really not sure if it's for me.

My circumstances:

- I live in central London and don't have a car, will not be using car space.

- I'm not overly fussed about having a overpriced mediocre meal before or during match. Happy with a pie and pint.

- I like the idea of the lounge and no queue (I usually frequent dicks) although I don't like the dress code.

- seats would be better that's a plus

Am I missing anything here ? Is there any other big selling points ?

If 1901 offered queue skip on the trains I would sign up straight away !!

For that sentence alone, you should be restsricted to the home end at Gillingham for the rest of your days.

I've been in 1901 a couple of times and it's not a patch on my regular matchday routine. The view is slightly better than my normal seat in WSU, but if you dare to become a little animated during the game then people will glare at you. And you're not allowed to wear trainers. Give me a few pre-match pints with my mates in the pub any day.

I think hospitality at football is fine if you don't actually have an interest in either team.

People keep saying how having somewhere warm to go is a big advantage but it's always bloomin' hot in the West Upper concourse, are others not the same?

I have visited most parts of the ground. WSU is warm all year round as it is much more enclosed. This is not the case elsewhere. I was surprised at just how cold it was in ESU for the Reading match.

The prospect of being told what to wear to a football match is enough to put me off.
