Cannot believe it was so long ago, but 16th Jan 1991 saw us beat Newcastle with Bryan Wade, the little welsh wizard, scoring all four :ascarf:

Marvellous scenes that night, those goals kept on coming!

Shame he didn't maintain his form, but that night he was awesome

God I miss the Goldstone

Yes I went, and was it really 18 years ago. He never really got much of a chance did he, despite getting 6 goals in 10 games.

I'm feeling really old now.....time for the Horlicks!

I was there too. Strange game in that it seemed fairly even except Wade scored everytime the ball came his way.

I remember the piece of police tape breaking and people running on the pitch for the last goal from the North Stand. Lovely stuff.

I was there. From memory despite scoring 4 I distinctly remember us being completely outplayed. Had Keegan just got there as manager a month or so prior to that game??

I was there - We were being out played, went 2-1 down, I think..... then Wade stepped up and scored another 3. Loads of Toon in the south East corner. Evening game, think they played in Yellow, maybe even yellow and green? Mick Quinn was incredibly fat.

I managed to miss it due to football training, or something like that.

Couldn't believe my luck when I got a phone call telling me what a game it was.

18 blooming years, ago, blimey.

My memory of that night, although somewhat harsh as it was mid week in Jan, is the 'Toon Army'.
I believe they would have been out number by the Swiss Guard.

Yep I was there. Whatever happened to Bryan Wade? It was like he was there one minute and gone the next. I am sure I remember him scoring against Wolves in 3-2 win at Molineux in the previous? game. Codner got sent off? and Mark Barham lashed the winner in off the post to spark pandemonium in the Albion end. Awesome memories. Think Steve Bull might have got both of Wolves goals that day too

Was it really 18 years? It was the only home game I missed in that season and had a row with my then girlfriend because I hadn't gone...

I wonder what ever happened to Bryan Wade?

Yep. And to be honest, with all the upheaval and struggles the club has been through since then, it seems more than 18 years ago to me. Almost another World.
